Crazy awesome. Tons of black pepper, smoke, tobacco and bacon fat. Luscious dark fruits. Very fruit forward palate. Waaaaaay too young. — 9 years ago
Fresh and well balanced. The best of the lineup IMHO. — 9 years ago
Still tight and tannic, big fruit bomb in the mouth. Opens nicely, nose is reserved with dark fruit and pencil shavings. — 10 years ago

Renegade Wine dinner series at Rebelle NYC presented by sommelier Patrick Cappiello. Focus was on Cab Franc: 15 wines paired with 5 courses. Posting a few favorites.
Was excited to see this on the list. A very French style of Cab Franc - but a nice balance of savory and fruit. A touch sour but very smooth, round and refreshing. Was excellent with food (beet tartare).

Wonderful Syrah from Paso Robles. Full bodied but also fruity. Rich with strong character. Plumb and berries on mouth. Great with Mediterranean food of Prawns in garlic sauce at Gorgeous George in Seattle. Great place. — 5 years ago
2004 drank smooth, nice fruit balanced acid. Finished well — 6 years ago
Deep ruby coloration. On the nose, florals, minerals, strong strawberry, raspberry and cherry. On the palate, very fruit forward, with strawberry dominating, cherry and raspberry as well. Oak, leather, chocolate and more strawberry on a long finish. Moderate and well balanced tannins. Medium body and opened up to a surprisingly rich mouthfeel and great, drinkable wine. — 7 years ago
Marvelously easy. Gentle on the tongue. Raspberry , smoke, a hint of pepper. — 8 years ago

Sophisticated summer in a bottle... Lovely bouquet of flowers, peaches, vanilla, carmel and almonds- reminded me of peach cobbler. I was grateful for the long clean finish as I did not want it to end. Lovely! — 11 years ago
