If Viognier was in a cauldron, and you threw in caramel covered apples, and cheesy aromas, and took out the dense almost oily palate Viognier tends to have, you would be describing this white Malaguzia from Lykos Winery in Greece. Explosive aromas of star jasmine without a hint of residual sugar I can't wait to pair this white Malaguzia with something soon. Great value wine for Gewürztraminer or Viognier lovers to try something new! — 10 years ago

Looks like moscato. Smells like moscato. Slightly effervescent like a moscato. And yet it tastes dry... good with Ottolenghi recipies and adventurous souls. — 12 years ago
Dried apricot and other stone fruit. Balanced acid and very pleasant food wine — 4 years ago
First time trying this grape, and haven’t always had hits from Greece, but this one was quite enjoyable. Nice fruits and earthiness, easy to drink, would complement many types of foods. Probably a repeat, especially for less than $20. — 5 years ago
Malagousia/Assyrtiko/Roditis. Grassy, sauv blanc like nose, but balanced and lush on palate. Like. — 6 years ago

First time with this varietal. Tasted like a cross between Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc. Crisp and acidic but also glycerin and some perfume. It’s so fun. Doing a bang up job pairing with Greek appetizers. — 3 years ago
