Arietta Wines lunch with owner Fritz. We were able to taste through some current releases as well as some reserve wines Fritz brought with him personally. A treat to enjoy these Andy Erickson wines!
Classically styled and balanced. Very reminiscent of Spottswoode’s SB. Floral with tart fruit and medium acidity. Lots of lemon-lime here but also melon. Crushed rocks. Vibrant. — 5 years ago

Definitely the most fun wine on the table. Merlot and Syrah blend. I believe this is around the time John Kongsgaard was leaving and Andy Erickson was arriving. Quite wild, and both sweet and savory. Black cherry tart, peppercorn crusted rhubarb, red licorice, and a sweet smoke to the nose. Tangy red fruits, espresso and cocoa bits on the palate with a finish that shows tea leaf and fig. Delicious! — 5 years ago
Was excited to drink this again after having it at Passport Wine Weekend, it is delicious and now it will sit and get better — 7 years ago
Incredible experience. This lightly sparkling Pinot/ Blauer Portugieser is a revelation. Being German, I didn't even know something like this exists. Mind blowing. — 8 years ago
Excellent blend of Grenache, Mourvèdre and Tempranillo instead of Syrah. Works very well. I saw this described as “dusty fruits” which I take to mean earthy, and just slightly subdued. Relatively smooth and opens up nicely with air time. Will keep the other bottles for a while to see how the evolve. Another good effort from ONX wines out of Pasa Robles. Cheers — 5 years ago

One of three offerings from Mad Fritz last night @ NVWTG. Not usually a stout fan, I thoroughly enjoyed this well balanced brew. Wish I had snapped pics of the others! Great beer with a great story. Serious craftsmanship at work. — 9 years ago
Benno
Very slight fizz, pale straw colour. An attractive mix of pear, quince and something a little more exotic, like pineapple. Mid-acidity and sweetness with shortish length as all in balance. Light and enjoyable. Tasted again after a couple of nights in the fridge this had put on weight and become richer and more round and very harmonious - Delicious — 5 years ago
