Refreshing citrus. Seemed to go with everything and also nothing. — 7 months ago
Dark garnet/Medium ruby color. Bright aromas of ripe red cherries, earth and baking spices. Just a hint of Brett. Cherries also fill the palate along with notes of plum, minerals, black olives and dried herbs. Faint touch of vanilla on the medium finish. Bright acidity and light tannins. Nicely aged. — 8 months ago
Very deftly oaked, vibrant and with great energy.
Nice reduction with toasted sesame, flinty notes. Cool, fresh. Green rather than yellow fruit - underripe pineapple, green papaya. Highly enticing.
On the palate this poised, elegant, with tension, juicy acidity and nice depth. Much more exotic on the palate with guava, pineapple and a bit of spice with the oak adding to the breadth. The vibrant acidity holds everything in check.
Not a Meursault but not far at all.
Unexpectedly delicious. — 9 months ago

Dry medium bodied slightly peppery and cherry flavours. Not very manic but enjoyed with Greek beef stew and mashed potatoes at Kellari restaurant in Beeston. — 4 months ago
The 2018 is 70% Syrah and 30% Merlot. There is no Xinomavro in this blend. (According to the label and the website.) Both grapes are coming from the Naoussa vineyards. The Amyndeon Xinomavro is now going into other Kir Yianni wines. It seems the blend went to only Syrah and Merlot sometime between 2014 and 2016. This 2018 is silky smooth with faint integrated tannins. It’s a bit closed right now though. Very faint detectable fruit, maybe plum or blueberry? Nose of cedar, smoke, and something I couldn’t pin down. At first I thought a hint of patchoulli? But I just tore apart the spice rack in the kitchen and it is definite bay leaf. Both aroma and flavour. And an earthy herbal bay leaf, pepper and black olive tail. It’s quite interesting. — 6 months ago
Xinomavro is really a variety to seek out if you want to drink complex wines of the highest level that still are really affordable. I love it. The nebbiolo market seems slightly flooded in 2023 and if you are looking for something similar this is it. Complex mesmerising aromas and a super structured and well balanced wine. Dark berries, plums, baking spices, marzipan, bay leaf, olives, mushrooms. Silky texture and a tannic finish. — 8 months ago
Honestly impressed with how well this has held up and aged gracefully. Delicious, nice developed tannins, slight earth. Dark cherry. — 8 months ago
