Lovely smell and full mouthfeel. A real kick from the tannins to end it off (a tad too much without food). — 2 years ago
Dark olive and bay leaf with plum. Hint of charcoal — 4 years ago
Love this. Delicious dark fruits with some funk to go with them. — 5 years ago
Firstly the nose is driven by strong Sherry notes. Gets better & more harmonious with air. The Sherry turns into curry plant, fennel blended with hints of apricot & yellow stone fruit. Like a laser beam on the palate, very salty, vibrating and grasping. Long finish. — 8 years ago
2011 Chardonnay, so pure! — 10 years ago
Apple, butter, earth and some sticks — 5 months ago
Loved this paired with food - prickly pear, lemon, honeysuckle or melon. Easy to drink, rounded and crunchy, not too tart nor too sweet. — 10 months ago

Perfect time to pull from the cellar, still has great acidity, red fruit, and leather. Medium body with fantastic length. — 8 years ago
Paired nicely with smoked quail egg that was marinated with wine.

2010 with such fresh crisp fruit. Meyer lemon and powdery minerality. Want to put away a few bottles, see the evolution. — 10 years ago
Must love roasted veggies. But this has shed some of its oak and youthful reduction. In a good spot with another 5-10 years of interest. — 6 months ago
75% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre —a total stunner she is, drinkable now with a body to go the difference. The nose brings red fruits (plums, cherries, strawberries) and roses and rose petals. The palate is silky-smooth, fresh fruit giving way to tootsie roll and stewed fruit flavors, augmented by earth and sanguine balsamic grooves, a bit of herbal garrigue carrying the day. The finish carries on, persistent and solidly ethereal if we can make that a thing. — 6 months ago
Well aged, balanced, smooth, tasty — 2 years ago
This was our second bottle. First was uninspiring and despite the 97pt RP rating, found it to be disappointing. The trick is to let it breathe for at least an hour to let the flavors develop. It is no Opus One but very satisfying with a juicy steak or just plain enjoyment! — 8 years ago
2007: The nose doesn't prepare you for the lovely cotton candy sweetness on the palate. A very pleasant wine with medium weight and a nice uplift of sweetness toward end, yet with a good acidic cut to keep things in check. Would like to have again. — 10 years ago

I can’t get over this wine! The first word that comes to mind is luscious!! Ripe peaches and pear, smoke, pineapple, chamomile, tree bark and limestone. I need a case and now I can’t find it - should’ve bought more!!! — 5 months ago
