@Kirk Alexander @David L @Ron R @Joe Lucca @Mike Rowe Kirk was gracious enough to uncork this badass wine. It was wine of the year in 2002!
It is in a perfect place right now. Firing on all cylinders. It was evident on the nose, Palate and immense finish. Truly spectacular. Thanks Kirk!!! — 8 years ago
Light, delicate, rustic, earthy, with great acidity. It wants food and it wants to bed one of your parents. Or both. Or you. — 9 years ago

Christmas Eve Eve party. Crowd favorite — 9 years ago
Really happy with this super Tuscan. Once it breathes a bit the aromas give was to earthiness and dark stone fruits that yield very nice complexity. Great drinker. — 10 years ago
Черные ягоды, суховато, чуть пряно, чисто, симпатично. 15.5/20 (89/100) — 10 years ago
Great summery white, fruity, dry, mellow acidity, soft mouthfeel, would go great with charcuterie. — 11 years ago
Very special. Taste buds are shot to hell, but this is shining thru. Somebody has polished the tannins with a velvet cloth. Needs more age - exceptional. Gotta call out @Joe Lucca for gifting this fine specimen. — 8 years ago
13' Araujo Estate Eisele Vineyard SB. This was the first vintage that spent extra time in the bottle prior to release.
Palate- Classic citrusy notes -lemongrass, picking up some tropical notes of peaches. A plethora of stone fruits. Nice minerality throughout the palate. After it was open for about 30 minutes the crisp acidity softened a bit.
Complexed and very well-made SB. Not a problem enjoying the bottle on it's own. Pairing this wine with food… truly appreciate this SB. @Joe Lucca Kristen and I can't thank you enough for this sensational bottle of SB! Please say hi to Diane from the both of us. See you in April. — 8 years ago
@Carl Fischer Christine knew that we would all get along as soon as you walked in with this beauty in New York earlier this year!!! It's one of her favorites!!! Truly A phenomenal example of a great Napa cab. This is firing on all cylinders. I still have a dozen left in my cellar and can't wait to see the evolution that they will take in the next 15 years. Winner, winner chicken dinner! Great minds think a like Carl! LOL we must've had 60 bottles of wine that night and I still remember Christine saying "I really like that wine" when you walked in the door with that bottle! LOL The entire WNH @Joe Lucca @Mike Rowe @David L @Ron R would've had an incredible time this evening. We can't wait to see you within the near future! — 8 years ago

Opened well before it's hit it's stride. Sandalwood and rich dark fruits dominate .
On the palette, the tannins are not resolved. Superb flavors of blackberries, blueberries and jam compote float on an ethereal platform. Nice finish which finishes sweet. Leave this for another 5 years...
Joe Lucca (in pic) cradling what is one of the babies of the evening. — 9 years ago
Even better than the I Pampini! — 9 years ago
Intensly dry earth aromas with a balanced Brett/funk component. Integrated tannins with wonderful fruit to acid balance. Well structured. — 9 years ago

"Bad Ass in a Glass" is quite accurate here. Poured from a double magnum, this was a big wine that had people smiling and buzzing (in every sense of the word!). Globs of dark fruit, silky smooth, a touch sweet, but so well integrated.
Thank you @Martin G Rivard and @Christine for an epic 48 hours and for opening your home last night for the Super Bowl of wine tastings (and for the four different types of grilled cheese sandwiches that magically appeared toward the end of the night!).
While the wines shared last night literally were the best of the best, so too were the folks I had the pleasure of seeing again and meeting for the first time. Thank you all for making last night so memorable. I look forward to staying in touch and sharing a glass (bottle?) with you all again in the near future.
