Low yields in Northern Rhône 2013, but the quality of the fruit is prevalent here. Structured and well-integrated fine grained tannins at the five year mark. The nose explodes out of the glass with finesse and doused complexities. Definitive Syrah nuances of black raspberries, black plums, black olives, fresh cut violets, cracked black pepper, Indian spices, grilled and smoked meats, and stone dust. Light weight but packs a continuous release of flavors. Nose and palate changes from fruit to floral to spicy to meaty. As you move to different areas and rooms the wine changes. The more air it gets, the more meat starts hanging out. Complex indeed for a $20 bottle. Great showing. — 7 years ago

Great quaffer. — 9 years ago
Mellow on the nose and likewise on the tongue. Rounded with hints of crisp red apple and just the right amount of dryness. I don't know that it deserves to be opened in a park square during a fire alarm. — 9 years ago
Great wine, lots of raisin flavour, yet it is perfectly balanced. Smooth, fresh, easy ln mouth. Perfect for a nice dinner. — 10 years ago
Dark purple burgundy in color, smells of savory meaty component, blackberry, cardamom, white pepper, tobacco and fig, balanced acidity wets your mouth, full body with round mouthfeel, tastes of black cherry, pepper, licorice, black tea and roasted suckling pig, medium to long finish, excellent structure and way too easy drinking.
This is a negotiant operation teamed up by the Jaboulet family in the north and Perrin family in the south to produce Northern Rhône AOC and none-AOC varietal wines. — 11 years ago
Cherries, dry yeasts/doughy, and a long finish. — 3 years ago
