100% Mourvèdre from Paso. Delicious and an incredible value. Rich, deep and voluptuous-you can dive right into the glass with this one. Slate and cherry undertones on the nose. Long finish out the back side. Love this wine. — 7 years ago
Nice light tannins once opened. A hint of pepper much like a Los Rocas red blend from Paso Robles area. — 9 years ago
If you happen to still have this wine in your cellar, be stoked. A one off from Tobin James, this is showing beautiful with blackberry jam and bramble fruit. Long lovely finish. — 9 years ago

Welcome my friends to my Wine spot! Dr Todds Wine Bar!
I am visiting family in Los Angeles CA! I had the privalege to explore LA's own San Antonio Winery! One of the oldest Wineries in California and the only one allowed to stay open during the prohabition years. I love the Riboli family wines! As I have tried most of them, the Opaque wines are my favorite. Today I am trying the Malbec 2010 for the first time. It is one of the four options from their Opaque family. These Paso Robles wines are amazing. The cork has a thin ring of wine absorption and is slightly irregular. Its condition is perfect, well its a 2010... The color is very Opaque as the name implies. The legs are very long and slow lasting 7 seconds. The Cab is 9 seconds.
The boquet is not tanic at all ....oops I forgot, tannis are not aromatic. Hum.... true as I have previously been corrected! Let me rephrase. There is no strong sharp alcohol odor you get with some cheap wines. Hell, there is no tanic aroma. That's a Dr. Todd made up term!!!!!!! I like it and Im keeping it. The boquet is that of blackberry and plum. The initial palate is blackberry and chocolate. It has a velvety palate but not buttery. The final palate grabs the edges of the tongue from the tip to the base. There is absolutely no lingering taste. This is amazing. Try this wine. The cab, zen, and petit verdot are also amazing. — 10 years ago
I think this will be ideal for Mexican dinner for dia de Los muertos with our neighbors!!!

Ett väl rekommenderat vin — 11 years ago
Looking forward to this one. #jamesberry — 11 years ago

This vintage and further vintages are from Sta. Rita Hills. This vintage was from Buona Terra Vineyard, now the Sanger Family West Vineyard. — 7 years ago
Wowsa, had this for a few years and what an amazing surprise. A bit of fruit, small tannin so very smooth ending that lingers. — 9 years ago
This is one of my first Washington wines I've tried. It's smooth and light with a nice flavor. I'm not the wine expert but I have been to Napa, Sonoma, Paso Robles, Santa Barbara, Amador County & Lodi, and this is a nice wine. I'd buy a case! Don't try the cold grape wines (tried some Minnesota wines) it's like drinking kerosene! And wines on Maui (not so good either) — 9 years ago
