An oddity for me, strange at first until a stink blew off. But what emerged was neat, very different, young Nebbiolo on steroids. — 11 years ago
Shit year, great wine — 5 years ago
Wonderfully refreshing sparkling porch pounder for those 100 degree days! Wild yeast fermentation gives it a bit of enjoyable funkiness! — 5 years ago

Hell yes. Delicate, balanced big refreshing bubbles for summer. This Italian sparkler from the Veneto is comes from master Barolo-maker Livio Sassetti as part of his war against over-sulfured Italian bubbles. Pink pomegranate, candied tangerine peel and guava notes with a hint of plum - from the Merlot, no doubt. Elegant, zesty and flamboyant with an in-your-face creamy finish. Extra-dry spumante, like extra-dry Champagne, is in the range we call "off-dry" in absolute terms. For reference, wine that is still in the absolute dry category can have up to 9 grams of residual sugar; this wine has 12; cocacola clocks in at 110. — 8 years ago
Fresh and drinkable, very food friendly, fruit forward but not overpoweringly so. — 9 years ago
Very good wine at the price. — 10 years ago

Can’t get enough Chianti. Great nose of cherry and rose. Some chocolatey fruits, hint of wood. Tannins pick up with time. Opened to pair with Melissa Clark’s ‘pizza chicken’. — 5 years ago
