Wish I held onto this longer! Great bottle, honey, apricot, and well balanced sugars. Enjoyed with a cheese board that leaned towards pungent salty Stilton and Valdeon and earthy raw raw cow varieties. — 8 years ago
This is the bottle that made me think I had a future in wine. It was a lonely bottle found in the basement that ended up in a flash sale to make room for restocking. I saw a nearly 10 year old French wine with a $9 sticker on it & thought "Either it's gross or they don't know what they have...either way, MINE!" When first poured I was disappointed - no nose to speak of & sediment, grr. I decanted it and took a shower. MOTHER OF GOD...it's amazing what a little bit of air can do. My partner, who isn't much for red wine couldn't believe how fragrant & smooth it was. We managed to keep from gulping it & enjoyed t across 2 dinners. I tried to find a case & the only one was auctioned through Christies! Ha! Sometimes you get lucky & this wine literally changed my life. — 9 years ago
Holy cow, this is good. Needed some time to open up, but ultimately a real knockout. Paired well with a simple piece of salmon. — 9 years ago
Nice and mild — 10 years ago
Smooth. Awesome. — 10 years ago
Holy cow. What a perfectly balanced, wood toned beauty. Sat soft but firm on the palate with mildly expressive black fruit and silky spiced oak. — 10 years ago
Lidivine oh wow Ian loves this — 11 years ago
Purple Cow's 2012 off-dry Muscat provides just enough sweet. At 1.9% residual sugar, you can really taste the essence of the Muscat grapes. This wine is excellent with hard, white cheeses such as Parmesan or Asiago. — 8 years ago
Easy drinking with softly sweet black fruits. Lovely balance that paired well with Christmas sugar cookies. — 8 years ago
Smooth, spicy, oaky. Went well with meat lasagna. — 9 years ago
Holy cow. The nose betrays the first quaff. Luscious honeysuckle, hints of lemon mango (?), warm slate, and a nuance of grapefruit. The finish is rounded with with peach. Run- don't walk to buy this. — 9 years ago
Very light and refreshing for the summer! — 9 years ago
A bulky cow eating extra ripe blackberries off a thorny bush. Dark fruits, meat, and high alcohol (15.1%) which are all very well integrated together. 🐮 — 9 years ago

Rating may be influenced by prior bottles. Good not great. — 8 years ago
I enjoyed tasting and selected TOASTED COW at Oak Knoll vine yards where my host family took me. I learned this name of the wine is very famous among local people. Mostly I prefer dry to sweet, but this a little bit sweet, but light and good aroma taste so good.

Holy cow! This is everything I expect from a zin & more! Amazing! — 9 years ago
I asked for an elegant, fruity red to stand by itself after dinner and here's what I discovered! Round, both subtle and bold, long on the palate, we quickly became good friends! This blend of M, C and S goes well with a Latteria, a hearty but not overly dominant cow cheese - the Italian version of a nicely ripened, less than middle aged Gouda. — 9 years ago
Drank over course of 3 hours- opened w red plum and cow patties, cedar and rotting flowers, cooked cherry and sage. Plush and soft- evolved into hot cocoa and prunes. Potpourri-like bouquet developed after an hour- I called it a bouquet of delightfulness. Impressive and a serious treat! — 9 years ago
Holy cow! That was... I am speechless — 10 years ago
Very nice. Ready to eat half a cow with this. — 10 years ago

Holy cow this one is good! Picked up on a whim in quebec, and cant believe the value. Elegant, med- body with fine bet firm tannin. Wild earthy, briary notes. But very restrained on the alc and extraction. — 8 years ago
