5% Merlot added. Nose of coffee, tar and dry red florals. Fruits are like walking into Grandma's house and she just served you a mixed fruit pie straight out of the oven. Blackberries, black raspberries. Eucalyptus, mint, green bean/snow pea, nearly no red fruits show at this point. Prunes, dates, medium leather, crushed dry rocks, good presence of chunky dry minerality. Ripe fruit to dry tannin finish with good acidity. Bought it for the beautiful bottle, will keep buying it for the beautiful wine. Very light and crisp. — 8 years ago
The fruit has the mouth entry of an aged wine. As it begins to set on the palate, the fruits reveal their true age. They are soft, gentle and slightly sour. Plum, rhubarb, figs, cherries, blackberries and the ripe raspberries come on during the long finish. M+ tannins, red dry roses and violets and nice acid on the finish. — 8 years ago
