☄️ Yup, nice. Not your typical Aussie Shiraz. Big nose, but drinks like a cooler PN. Blackberry bush and creek bed. — 8 years ago

Enso, made in PDX, has released their "Chateauneuf du Stark" based on the quartet of Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Counoise (each at 25%) from Columbia Valley. Fragrant, phat, flirting with smoke & slate but so juicy...call me muy loco but it reminds me of papaya crossed with tobacco. Whatever, this li'l Stark ode to Chateauneuf isn't too big for its britches, it's daring & delightful! — 10 years ago
Wow!! One of the tastiest Rosé I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. — 10 years ago
Great elegance and beauty. This is starting to get into the really good Chilean wine — 10 years ago
Great fruit, a good amount of oak. Would like to see how things integrate in a few years, but still tasty nonetheless. — 8 years ago
Huge olive, big earthy herbal notes, almost eucalyptus. Bright sour cherry, chalky and alive, long bitter finish. It is a weird and beautiful beast...back one hour later. Huge metamorphosis to a dark fruit bomb with butter brioche and bitter chocolate. In Mexico they call this El vino loco. — 8 years ago
Importado por Bodegas Compostela y disponible en Oscar Cash & Carry. Muy rico, combinado esta noche con rodaballo, arroz con langosta y ensalada con aguacate. — 9 years ago

Smooth and refined. Nice hint of black currant. One of my favorite Chilean blends. — 10 years ago
Cor vermelha com bordas alaranjadas. Aromas de frutas negras, baunilha e madeira. Taninos suaves e sabor de frutas e um pouco de madeira. — 10 years ago
A big Sangiovese with some punch to it, this is a great general purpose food wine. Predominant flavors are cherry and dark plum, with some acidity to the finish. It is fuller bodied than the average Sangiovese, pairing nicely adobo loco steak with poblano, corn, and crispy potato hash. Bellissimo! — 8 years ago

Grapefruit and stone fruit with mineral and wet stone on the nose. Some stone fruit coming through in the flavor. Good. Nice finish. Not much as far as citrus flavors are concerned. Quaint. — 8 years ago
This one gets a higher rating due to its good value. Great wine. — 9 years ago

Love the comments on this wine about "dirt and cherries," @Jaime Godinez or "half Beaujolais and half Syrah," @Scott Barber, really true, Schioppettino is an interesting contrast of grapey fruit vs peppery foresty mineral characters. This is a great rendition of this rare varietal. — 10 years ago
