Dark brownish red. Nose that had some guessing Italian, while others linked dried herbs in the nose to Rhone and Ch d Pape. Upon reveal, "of course it's Bordeaux". Rich and smooth in the mouth, with long finish. My first Ausone and its a 59. It's good to be the king. — 10 years ago
I think that's the wrong wine linked. Unless I missed mention of 'white' somewhere in the label — 11 years ago
Excellent $20 cab from knights valley. Cedar, chocolate, soft tannins low alcohol. Great with pizza :) — 9 years ago
The rarest sherry I've ever tried... Probably one of the best too (they're often not linked). Decades old fino. Freshness, complexity and persistence for minutes. The story of these Palmas is amazing and too long for here. Look up the piece written recently in Food & Wine's blog. — 11 years ago
Deep red forest fruits, silky smooth tannins and hints of creamy chocolate, dried rosemary, rich, luscious, drinking beautifully after 14 yrs of ageing. 100% Mavrud, a Bulgarian native grape linked to Mourvèdre. #bulgarian #bandol ! — 9 years ago
It was lovely. I'm doing an experiment, trying to find out if this one thing I love about certain wines is linked to Carneros. Turns out it's not, but I was delighted to have this wonderful wine as my Guinea pig. — 10 years ago
Great wine, linked to memories. Very good! — 11 years ago
Sipping Fine Wine
The fruit for this Pinot comes from two of the coolest, most coastal parts of this appellation, linked by the influence of the Pacific’s cool marine air, which delays ripening. Bright Ruby with berry fruit, citrus and warm spice. On the palate, raspberry and cherry, tangy, with cedar notes and earthy tones. Bright acidity, soft expressive tannins, lingering finish ending with woody spice. Very nice, has room to age. — 8 years ago
