Happy Anniversary Sofia. I miss you honey and will forever! Cortona calling. Cheers! 🍾🥂
I had this a few years ago and thought this needed another 3-4…apparently wasn’t wrong. Not as stellar as the 07. Starting come into its own. Golden apple, green apple, lime pulp, tropical melon, just ripe pineapple, ripe pear, vanillin, caramel, cream, sea spray, alluvial limestone minerals, beautiful mid grain chalkiness, brioche, baguette crust, nice, soft yeastiness, jasmine, yellow lilies, really nice acidity, well structured, balanced, delicious finish that lasts two-minutes. 🌹 — 8 months ago
tropical fruit, some citrusy lime, wet stone and beeswax notes to it. Palate is similar with a pleasant mouthfeel and nice acidity. Great on its own or with food. — 5 years ago
1986 vintage. At Au Fils du Zinc in Chablis - thank you Fabian for picking the best white wine experience of the year. This was a wine that Mr Raveneau didn't release because he thought there was too much oak and sulphur. Only recently did they realise they had a gem. Medium golden hue. Honeyed, white peach, lemon pieces, iodine and crushed rock minerality. Slight bovril note and sea shell with air. Amazing complexity. On the palate, perfect balance between fresh acidity and body, highly concentrated and layers of complexity. Very very long. Outstanding. Still fresh enough to last another 7-10 years at least. — 7 years ago
Still hanging tuff with ample fruit and balance 2005 vintage — 9 years ago
This a big boy no holds bard Syrah dominated blend from JS. What blows me away about this very talented young super star winemaker is he truly adapts his wine making style to the vintage. Each year is unique with its own optimized signature. This wine is a big brooding effort in which dark cherry, black plum and sweet tobacco dominate. There are cloves and cinnamon on the long drawn out finish. The tannins are formidable and this will benefit from another couple years in the bottle. Give it at least an hour in the decanter if u drink it now. This wine continues to evolve in my glass. Such a talented wine maker, I'm sorry I just discovered this producer only recently. His 2007 James berry vineyard is the only wine I have ever tasted that I consider perfection. — 10 years ago
Pineapple and oak predominate with sliced apples and pears. Balanced with a nice elegant feel that bridges the profiles of California and France — 7 months ago

Sweet and licorice. — 5 years ago
Deep ruby coloration. On the nose, florals, minerals, strong strawberry, raspberry and cherry. On the palate, very fruit forward, with strawberry dominating, cherry and raspberry as well. Oak, leather, chocolate and more strawberry on a long finish. Moderate and well balanced tannins. Medium body and opened up to a surprisingly rich mouthfeel and great, drinkable wine. — 6 years ago

Still tight and tannic, big fruit bomb in the mouth. Opens nicely, nose is reserved with dark fruit and pencil shavings. — 9 years ago
Sophisticated summer in a bottle... Lovely bouquet of flowers, peaches, vanilla, carmel and almonds- reminded me of peach cobbler. I was grateful for the long clean finish as I did not want it to end. Lovely! — 11 years ago
Great summer wine! On the rocks with a little lime! Amazing! — 11 years ago
So strong it will grow hair on your chest. This wine needs another five years before opening. No question this is a well-made wine with extraordinary potential. Slightly sweet to start, smooth tannins in the finish. Overwhelming fruit to start. — 7 months ago
A délicate bouquet of fresh lime, ripe peaches with hints of slate. Lots of zing, a forward acid with a spritz at the end! Simply decadent! — 3 years ago
Craggy Range is a family owned winery established in 1997. Pale straw with stone and citrus fruit aromas with hints of honey sweetness. On the palate dry, with lively fruit, gooseberry, lime, melon and pronounced grapefruit flavors with subtle herb tones, vivid acidity, crisp and refreshing. Long smooth finish ending with a mineral tones. Nice value! Ready to drink now! Love the ‘19. — 4 years ago
Really nice. Mostly cab. Good structure and fruit and earth. Generous and tasty! — 5 years ago
Renegade Wine dinner series at Rebelle NYC presented by sommelier Patrick Cappiello. Focus was on Cab Franc: 15 wines paired with 5 courses. Posting a few favorites.
Was excited to see this on the list. A very French style of Cab Franc - but a nice balance of savory and fruit. A touch sour but very smooth, round and refreshing. Was excellent with food (beet tartare).
