Moussé Fils

Anecdote Lieu Dit Les "Varosses" Champagne Chardonnay

Moussé is known for its Pinot Meunier yet this is 100% Chardonnay from a vineyard that was not well suited for Meunier due to the particularly deep soil. I found this to be a delight with lemon-lime citrus of tremendous precision. Minerals like it was San Pellegrino and a long finish. More chiseled than rich. So refreshing. E. Guigal

Lieu-Dit Saint-Joseph Syrah 2014

Wow! this is a purest form of saint Joseph. Absolutely delicious with clean silky tannin finish. Deep in colour with lively ripe black berry explosion in the mouth. Hints of leather and lime stone on the nose...ready to drink. Guigal delivers, but now I can’t wait to try the epic 2015. — 6 years ago

Pierre-Henri Morel

Lieu-Dit Pignan Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend 2011

A powerhouse! This is classic with its black fruit, herbs de Provence, and anise seed flavors. Barnyard funk emerges with air along with a streak of minerality. Let this sleep for another 3-5 years for better integration. — 8 years ago

M. Chapoutier

Schieferkopf Sélection Parcellaire Lieu-dit Buehl Alsace Riesling 2011

A blend of riesling, gewurz and sylvaner. The wine offered intense floral aromas when out-of-the-fridge cold, then gained complexity in the glass with ripe fruit, fennel and star anise notes. Hints of minerality also, but not the 'petrole' type. Haute couture. In magnum. — 8 years ago

Tonight opening one of my favorite and best Gigondas wine - a beautiful expression on freshness, finesse and elegance of old Grenache on sandy soil - a very limited production at around 3000 bottles #winelover 😘🙏🏻 what a treat ! — 9 years ago

My first Demi-Sev 1938 from a pristine bottle. No significant RS left in the structure but you could see how important the sugar was to carry on until today incredible aromatics. Still very concentrated and powerful. The second vintage of Gaston Huet at the end of the estate making the wines. — 7 years ago

Is this an ex Christie's bottle? I number of years ago there was a winery-direct auction in the U.K., and many of the bottles made their way to the US and then I sold them again for various consignors. Glad to hear they're holding up!
