Bordeaux Supérieur Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

The nose reminds me of a an elegant 1920's young woman who instead of talking with a group of women would rather hang out with the men. It's reminiscent of sweet ripe plum, boysenberry, blood orange, holly bush, cigar box, wet tar, rocky soil, and alluring perfume. Tannins were muscular as expected on this young wine, but the acidity was zippy; reminding me of biting into a fresh slice of a blood orange. Its light-bodied nature took me a little by surprise. The mid-palate is full with acid and focused fruit, but the finish tends to run away a little bit from you. Overall a great showcase of a lighter bodied Bordeaux with signature minerality and acidity. Thanks again #nakedwines. Cheers! — 8 years ago
