Rather dark color. Open nose, elegant melting black cherry bigarot, morello cherries, with floral and herbaceous notes. The mouth is fine with many nuances and finesse. An elegant Brouilly done for aging. it should be delicious in 2.3 years.

Not usually a right bank fan - that being said really enjoyable cherry fruit herbs oak nicely used background nice acidity great with the slow cooked beef — 7 years ago
— 8 years ago
Nice Italian wine. Red fruits (strawberries, sour cherries), vanilla / chocolate aging notes. Floral aromas even subtle but which should develop with a few years in the cellar. The acidity is still lively and the tannins just rounded. Should be better in two years.
Jolie vin italien. — 4 years ago
Lovely red fruit. Soft acidity. Easy to drink — 5 years ago
No formal notes but Thivin is just so solid. Great energy, electric fruit and acid combo. Delicious — 6 years ago
Less tight than the precedent vintage. Wide nose of red berries; griottes mostly. Mouth opens with generous volume and gains in definition fast. Fresh retro, long after taste #bestofgivry — 7 years ago
Last bottle of case bought 7 years ago... ready to drink, wont get any better, but might last another decade or so. Classic Griottes with all the roses, violets and cherry with polished tannins and a dusty finish that is an invitation for a diner with friends. — 8 years ago
Beautifully fresh in the mouth with a delightful cherry taste, it bears well it's name — 9 years ago

The colour is deep for a Bojo. Nice Aromas of red fruits, some cherries in particular, floral hints. Nice acidity, on the medium plus bodied palate that shows some power with very generous fruit and a lengthy delicious finish. Not a typical light Gamay, much better. 89-90

From magnum. Had it next to the stylistically similar Fourrier Gevrey VV, but this was the better wine for me - it had a little more depth and texture. Started of similarly reductive, but quickly opened up to scents of roses, intense red cherry, and smoky insence. The palate's velvety, mix of red and dark fruits, rich but offers lots of freshness with its crisp acidity. Minerality plays second fiddle at the moment, but is evident in the long spicy finish. I bet this was how it looked like when it was first bottled, so time can only make it better. 1er level for sure!
NB: From WH - This plot is located on the southern side of Griotte-Chambertin alongside the Claude Dugat plot and below the Duroché plot of Griottes-Chambertin. It is quite strange that this vineyard has been classified as village as it’s located so close to the Grand Crus. — 6 years ago

I always loved griottes it is undeniably a Chambertin but it is more perfumed and a touch lighter than its illustrious neighbors. Silky red fruit and spices, super long burn totally at its plateau. Great wine. — 4 years ago
