A perfect and very special Thanksgiving dinner accompaniment. Crisp, strawberry notes, nice and dry. Delicious! — 5 years ago
Tons of acid and also oxidized slightly. I really love these wines. 👌🏻 — 7 years ago

1997 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru Burgundy. Second red wine of the night at Nobu Malibu w K, R&M, McC, Judy. Cinnamon on the nose. Super interesting. Delicious. — 11 years ago
This is simply delightful, bloody awesome actually.
Typical Napa-purity and dito density, yet laced with Bdx-like treble-notes of freshness, acidity and transparency.
Served it alongside maigret/parsnip/anise-jus, but liked it better before and after this fantastic dish.
Score might be on the conservative side… — 10 months ago
Top ! — 4 years ago
Beautiful, clean, balanced. — 5 years ago
Fresh. 🍏 🍋❤️ Oxidized; but this is why I love it. #oxidationbeatsvaandmouseanyday — 7 years ago
Marvelous #structure #aromas of #blackberries and #cassis #charred oak. The berry bush in the most subtle and elegant way. Pleasantly surprised by this wine. I believe it has great aging potential. Great now and will be smooth and more complex in the future. — 10 years ago

Nice floral acidity. Very pleasant to drink right now — 9 months ago
Drinking the tail end of another dinner here. Losing a bit of vigour after two days opened, but still showing heaps of textural richness and chewy energetic fruit. Plums, cranberries, spice, and earthy nuances. Impressively long finish. Wow! Sadly, the bouquet was the let down, whereby the expectedly floral notes have disappeared at this stage and a light musk has started developing. Nevertheless, I can’t discount that this was an excellent aperitif. — 3 years ago
Second label (Domaine de Chevalier) Graves Red Blend. (65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, and 5% Petite Verdot). Deep purple color. Dark berry aromas and flavors. Hints of cedar, licorice, minerals and baking spices. Round and silky. Long finish. Well structured. Great value. — 4 years ago
Lovely depth of flavors with great balance — 7 years ago
First time tasting a GC Leroy and it was really out there. Pungent, overt, aromatic, intoxicating comes to mind. Blinded and had no idea. KP guessed it to be an 11' DRC. Said that 04' and 11' was all about the lady bug. He didn't think it was a Leroy because he felt it was too modern. — 8 years ago

Nice balance of acidity and fruit for a 16 year old wine. 2010. In fact it’s pretty fantastic. A bit of stewed apricots d hints of green apple. The tertiary elements are charming as heck. Go team! — 6 months ago
