This is my go-to bottle of wine when I don't see anything else that I want to try. Always pleasant. Always enjoyable. — 10 years ago
One of the best Italian wines, I have experienced. Pricey but worth it! — 11 years ago
Le Volte strikes again! I prefer this wine with less age, but the '05 was super dark and saturated in such a way that the younger wines could only dare to dream to be. — 12 years ago
I would never spend $140 on this bottle! While it was good, the price is astronomical compared to its quality. On the nose, a blend of raisins, raspberry and prunes. Bold structured taste with a long soft finish. This wine was indistinguishable from other Tuscan wines. — 12 years ago
Whole Foods love it too much — 8 years ago
I just had this wine for the 2nd time. 1st being in Italy over thanksgiving. This is a very complex wine that needs food but a great Super Tuscan! — 10 years ago
Fantastic Italian blend. — 11 years ago
Not complex but a great little everyday wine. I rate this so high because of it's versatility in food pairing and cost ($11.00). Pleasant to drink on it's own, as well. — 12 years ago
Italian greatness — 9 years ago
Crisp and refreshing. Just what i was looking for. — 9 years ago
I like it! — 10 years ago
Love this unusual cab franc-merlot blend from Andrea Franchetti!, also an unusual guy with some rock'n'roll background with which I seem to sympathise. If this is the future of the much-loathed Super Tuscans, sign me in! Oxidative approach, racking, 2nd, 3rd & 4th passage barriques, cement tanks. A wine that sits nicely next to you and invites to enjoy, not a masculine ego-show. Looking forward to try his Passopisciaro very soon #rosso #toscane #andreafranchetti @WineTraining @Dusan Bradanovich — 10 years ago
Very good the second day. — 11 years ago
A very nice supertuscan...round deep fruit from the Cabernet and beautiful tannins from the Sangiovese. — 12 years ago
I really enjoyed the rich flavors in this lovely Italian red. — 12 years ago

From magnum, this was a bit muted and restrained with a shy nose of red cherry, blackberry, allspice and mint notes. Lively entry with Sangiovese’s austere tannins. Red cherry, cranberry and cassis fruit in the mouth. Lacked the density I expected. Paired really well with the wild boar ragu and pappardelle. — 8 years ago
