Dark red. Inviting nose and medium full palate of black cranberry, cassis, and red plum. Juicy (medium plus) acidity from entry to medium long, palate continuing finish. Medium tannins that assert more as time and air pass. An excellent vintage of an excellent second label Margaux from Giscours. Consumate food wine that's upscale enough for filet mignon but priced for burgers off the grill, and will complement everything in between. Drink now through 2036. — 4 months ago

A really nice red🍷 — 3 months ago
An Haut-Medoc made by Château Giscours. This is quite nice in a rich, early-drinking style. Nose opens up within 60 minutes to show dark cherry fruit, cedar, and low-toned stony gravel. The palate is mouthfilling and soft, with ripe dark plummy fruit and earthy, savory notes. The finish is clingy with a nice bitter note growing at the close. Nicely done and a good value. — 3 months ago
Left bank blend with 85% Merlot, this is a great value bordeaux that has dried fruit, plum, and spice. — 6 months ago
Deep ruby-garnet color.
Aromas of tomato leaf, earth, leather.
Dry. Flavors of dried cherry, tomato leaf, cinnamon, leather. Rich, firm tannins. Wow! Excellent depth!

Appearance: clear clarity, medium intensity, garnet. Nose: clean condition, medium intensity, aroma - cigar, black berry, fruitcake, stewed prune. Palate: dry, high acidity, medium (+) chalky tannin, flavour - dark cherry, chocolate, smoky, long finish. Conclusion, very good and approachable cab-sauv, great value for its price tag ($33), alcohol and flavour greatly integrated. — 11 years ago

NOSE: Crayola, cranberry, a flower I can’t quite place, meat, iron, blood orange, raspberry. All light and receded … but color me intrigued!
TASTE: lovely lightweight Bordeaux - red fruit and floral flavors are muted but pleasant and elegantly “integrated.” “Feminine” is the right word. I love it! 91. — 5 months ago
on a Bordeaux kick lately. 06 Cru Bourgeois. very mature at this point, nose is heavy on pencil shavings and tobacco leaf. palate is the same, very tertiary flavor profile. fruit is very muted at this point. it’s nothing particularly special other than a classic mature bordeaux. — 9 months ago
Fantastic budget Bordeaux. 2nd timing having it and feel much the same. — 4 years ago
Perfect! Good that I have a whole case! — 6 years ago
1961. Wine older than me. Lots of cedar box and cigar. Tannin completely resolved. Lots of tertiary aromas and flavor. Can’t believe after all these years....still going strong. At Bern’s in Tampa. Page 85 of the 180 page wine list. More like a wine book. — 7 years ago
Spectacular. Lean. Balanced. It's nice to find and drink unspoofed Bordeaux. Thanks for bringing this in Cory! — 9 years ago

Outstanding QPR! 51% Cab Sauv, then Merlot, Cab Franc, and Petit Verdot. Drinking very well now with some air but has stuffing. Love the balance here. With NY Strip. — 2 months ago
