I have found a new spiced rum. — 9 years ago

Monkey 47 Dry Distiller Gin. Slightly hazy, water white, colourless. Pronounced intensity of perfume, juniper, lingonberry, violets, lavender, orange and grapefruit zest. With water added, more perfume and citrus notes to the fore. Dry on the palate. Warming alcohol, medium body, pronounced flavour intensity. Long finish. Very complex. Outstanding example of a premium gin. — 11 years ago
Prominent black pepper and warmth on the end. Smooth for the proof. — 11 years ago
Really enjoyed. LB. — 11 years ago
Mild with a dash of Rowanberry jam. Great aperitif. Dry. No lingering aftertaste. The Danes are to funny. They say " for any occasion and at any time throughout the day" — 11 years ago
Flat when opened. Came into its own with wedge salad. Held up well to 7 oz filet and 1 lb King Crab (shared). It's beautiful but I'm not dazed and confused. — 12 years ago
Very well made Rye. Probably the best I have tried. Delicate yet full of oak. Now I understated what a real Rye tastes like. Perfect for sipping. — 9 years ago
Cooked a 3 lb. prime rib and this wine stood up to it. The tannins are very balanced, the wine had fruit and body but isn't sweet. We loved it — 10 years ago

Juniper couched by a mild sweetness. — 11 years ago
1995: not a great vintage on the LB, and expected to be average (classic!) but much better. Good black fruit, plenty of forest floor, mushroom, Earth, leather. Some pretty plummy notes too. Medium bodied, good balanced acid and softened tannin. Meaty, smoky, good gravely notes, tobacco, and average e depth. Decent — 11 years ago
On the other hand...singing at this point. Restrained yet present. Lovely light body with interesting tannic note was mistaken for neb by one guest. Paired great with 14 lb slow roasted fresh ham. — 12 years ago
