#AgedWineTuesday
Dark ruby in color with a short reddish rim.
Strong nose of black fruits, cedar, spices, chocolates, coffee, licorice, light vanilla and black pepper.
Full bodied and elegant with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with black currants, cooked cherries, tobacco leaf, dark coffee, cedar, earth, dark chocolates, licorice, cola, spices, vegetables, herbs and black pepper.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.
This 17 year old Napa Cabernet Sauvignon feels more like a Left Bank Bordeaux. Fruit forward with nice complexity and a soft mouthfeel.
Showing great complexity and delicious, but I expected more from this great 2007 vintage. I had the 2001 not too long ago, and it was so much better.
Nicely balanced and good by itself or with food. A good food wine too.
A blend of 94% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Cabernet Franc, and 3% Petit Verdot.
14.1% alcohol by volume.
93 points.

Always surprised how much I enjoy this light, somewhat dry Pinot. — 10 years ago
2014 vintage. Last tasted 04.20.22 (9.5). Still tight but behind all the subterfuge, clouds, white lies, deception and smoke, there is a fantastic show slowly being assembled. All the performers are there and you've watched plenty of the rehearsals. Another 8-10 years will likely find this in the 9.6 and maybe 9.7 zone when the curtain finally rises. Built for future speed. If you've got the time and ca$hi$h, put a case aside and start tapping in 2035. This goes places wine doesn't have a right to. It's not asking for permission. 01.30.25. — 5 months ago
Light, jammy front with a smooth, lightly earthy finish. — 6 months ago
Double decanted two nights before service. The 2006 pours a deep, slightly hazy garnet color with a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is vinous with a mix of desiccated fruit and funky umami notes: bruised and desiccated strawberry, red rope licorice, nori, Cherry Dr. Pepper, cracked black pepper and leather. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is forever long and saline; it just hangs around forever. Initially, this came across as bit backward but it really gained power and character the more time it spent in the glass. Drink now with patience and through 2036. — 8 months ago

Absolutely lovely! Beautiful light salmon color, aromas of strawberry, light taste that would be fantastic with fresh spicy SE Asian food, salad, or seafood. A real spring time patio pounder! — 5 years ago

Even though I looked for some Chenin Blanc or Pinot Gris for our ribs dinner this NZ summer delight did not disappoint. Light and crisp. — 11 years ago
Quite light lemon yellow , very persistent , fine bubbles . Quite taut and strict on the nose , chalk dust , white flowers , honey suckle and elderflower , lemon peel , touch oyster shell and a touch of fresh baked bread . On the palate really good volume and density , lively acidity . Lots of citrus with good mineral , oyster shell notes . Long and mineral , saline, tinged finish , hint of toasty brioche on the end . This is really quite young and shows tighter and more mineral than the first bottle we had . Would leave this a few years and will have a long life , better in 10 -15 years and last well a further 10 or so . Great potential — 6 months ago
Light silvery straw gold color. Clean aromas and flavors of yellow delicious apple and citrus fruits with a light dose of mineral on the medium-plus finish. Crisp acidity and quite fresh tasting. This “Valdadige version” was much better than I expected. Very dry and quite refreshing. — 7 months ago

A great Pinot with light earthy feel- clean — 4 years ago
On this Sunday night the start of a new work week I have opened the 2019 Domaine de Triennes Rosé. This wine comes from Nans-les-Pins, France located between Marseilles and Toulon North of Bandol. This is a blend of mainly Cinsault with smaller amounts of Grenache, Syrah and Merlot.
On the nose I am getting red rasberry, cherry, tangerine, pomegranate, red currant, musky melon snd floral notes.
On the palate there is raspberry, tart cherry, strawberry, nectarine, a spiciness and good minerality.
This wine is pale pink onion skin in color, light to medium bodied with medium + acidity tuat moves into a long crisp fresh citrus finish. We are looking at a new week ahead and I wish everyone a safe and healthy prosperous week. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 5 years ago
Basque region. Light, spritzy and low alcohol. Think bone dry strawberry-lime soda with an alkaseltzer thrown in. — 6 years ago
Tasted blind. Reddish tawny, translucent and old looking. Awesome nose. Notes of leather saddle, pencil lead, currants, cherry, soil, and some toasted hickory. All guessed 61 Bordeaux. This got better through the night and was at its best in the last glass. — 7 years ago
Recommend. Wonderful for sipping with a cheese tray. Light with taste of cherries and California sunshine. — 9 years ago

Medium lemon yellow , fine bubbles . Quite restrained and mineral focused on the nose , then lemon confit , quince, touch of orange flowers, with some pastry notes , white flowers , honeysuckle also . Quite intense and mineral on the palate , fills out well with some lemon oil and pastry notes also , but this is reserved and elegant in style , more mineral , chalky and more intense than the 2013 had last week. Really refreshing acidity . Long and complex on the finish , I would imagine this needs more time than the 2013 too. Come back in 5 years , will show well for a further 10-15 years , perhaps longer. Very promising . — 5 months ago
