Blended with 15% Sauvignon Gris (no Semillon blanc this year) for roundness (note the blend changes each year). Pale yellow wine with aromas of citrus and tropical flesh fruit. On the palate pear and peach flavors with citrus zest and earthy notes on a balanced structure with lively fresh acidity. Medium+ finish, ending with green fruits, citrus and spicy mineral notes. — 3 years ago

A spectacular Chilean Carmenère presenting a nice nose, deep purple color, with blackberry, cherry and plum tastes. This is an outstanding full bodied and lush wine with soft intergated tannins was the star of a 90+ night. Perfect with grilled lamb this wine is sure to please Cheers 🍷 — 8 years ago

Some nice fruity tastes at the start and then all a lot of nice dryness at the end. The dry aftertaste keeps you coming back for more. Quite a nice wine with suprising combinations drink and after drink taste. — 2 years ago

A welcoming nose of ripe black fruits such as cassis and plum, dark chocolate, black tea leafs, and bell pepper. The palate is warm and deep, and velvety, with a taste echoing the nose. Polished tannins and long sweet finish. The bell pepper note might be a turn off for some, but I like it a lot here.
From vines dating back to 1945 that are genetically different (hence massal selection, as opposed to a single clone). Casa Lapostolle used to buy the grapes for the Clos Apalta bottling. — 6 years ago
