No one would ever suspect that the clear light ruby '03 Wyncroft Pinot Noir 'Avonlea Vineyard' came from the Lake Michigan Shore in SW Michigan. In a blind tasting, everyone would swear it was from Burgundy. A complex nose of sweet black cherry, plum, mint and earthy barnyard morphed from the glass. Medium-bodied with tart acidity and hints of floral and spice in the long-lasting aftertaste. A most serious wine from an unexpected region. — 10 years ago

Love love love Tabor Hill. Excellent wines and fantastic restaurant. Bought this cab franc with my mom at their satellite store in Saugatuck, MI on her birthday weekend. Smoky, bold flavor yet super enjoyable. — 11 years ago
