A big Rioja. Surprisingly ready to drink, tanins have softened, still powerful. Dark garnet color, aromatic nose of earth and herbs. Round Palate balanced and tasty. Recommended. Great VfM. — 7 months ago

Nice but not spectacular. Loads of vanilla and little tannin. — 12 years ago
Medium ruby , medium wide terracotta , garnet rim . Touches of leather , earthy , caramel coated spiced cherry , vanilla . Elegant on the palate , notes of leather , cherry , black tea , vanilla spice . Fresh acidity , fine tannins , balanced acidity. This has an earthy mineral undertone with good length . This is showing well now and will continue well over the next 10 years or so. — 5 months ago
Dark ruby/purple color. Aromas of blueberries, chocolate and coffee. Blueberry fruit flavors are complimented by hints of Asian spices, dark chocolate, figs, plums and black cherries. Slight note of blood/iodine on the long lasting finish. Medium bodied, solid balance and silky tannins. Thanks for sharing, Matt A. — 6 months ago
This is an interesting blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Syrah from the Maipo Valley, an iconic region of Chile, a bountiful area that gather the perfect conditions for quality wines for terroir-driven wine seekers.
A wine that can be an acquired taste, showcasing a unique character and definitely a high levels of complexity. The wine has a striking deep, intense violet color, quite aromatic profile that pleases the nose with some dark chocolate, dark cherries and blueberries. On the palate, it provides a balanced acidity, chewing tannins with a very long-lingering finish. It pairs amazing with Manchego cheese, Braised short ribs and even lasagna. — 8 months ago

Nose: fig and Asphalt and earth
Taste: candid walnut up front? plum and berry, very fruit forward in the middle. Finishes spicy! Love the prickling sensation as the berry fades.

Surprisingly, bright with red fruits, anise, wild herbs on the nose. Initial fruit forward, quickly melds into new leather, stewed red/black fruit with a chewiness. Dry, medium plus alcohol, medium plus bodied, silky tannins, medium acidity. Nice finish. It can age longer, but probably won't increase in enjoyability. For the price point, it's a 👍 but not overwhelming so.

Excellent attack with an earthy and red fruit flavor and nose, but the finish was short and astringent. — 5 months ago
Sight: Completely opaque, blood red, slight tawny. On nose: fruit forward, tobacco. On mouth: very smooth, full bodied, was difficult to taste fruits but strong oak and earthy presence. Might not have been at correct temperature. — 7 months ago
Dark ruby coloration. On the nose, dark cherry , ripe plum, vanilla, forest floor, oak, leather, truffle, spice, chocolate. On the palate, full bodied and elegant. Complex with an Extensive finish. Cherry, dark berry, vanilla, balsamic, spice, oak, gravel/minerals/forest floor then chocolate takes over. Long finish. — 10 months ago
Drinking well now, this is a well composed wine that typifies Rioja. I first had this about six years ago, and really enjoyed it. This time round, it’s of course more mature, but perhaps falls somewhat short on the finish. The nose is absolutely knockout - it smells much more than the £15 that I paid for it - but on the palate it doesn’t quite live up to it. Still, a very pleasant drink. — 6 years ago

A very well balanced cab . The tannins and the acidity match , the notes of deep rich red fruits and a smooth Oaked finish are great ... I would buy this again no doubts — 8 years ago
Reasonably priced in Pennsylvania. Good drinkable wine if you like fuller bodied reds. Will be getting a couple more bottles. — 11 years ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a couple hours. This bottle of the 2005 Gran Reserva came from a Library Release in 2022 so the cork was perfect. The wine pours a garnet color with a translucent core; medium+ viscosity with light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of tart, ripe and some dried, mostly red fruits: Bing cherry, raspberries, plum, tobacco, leather, dill and assorted dried garden herbs, gentle baking spices and dry, dusty earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. This is in a lovely spot and yet, has a long life ahead. Drink now with some patience and enjoy through 2045. — 4 months ago
