Gorgeous fruit and softer tannins that firm up and need opening time, anise, tar, rose pedal, blood orange, — 4 years ago
The soft tannins are like velvet from the tip of my tongue through to the back. An excellent Barolo with soft fruit and hints of leather and some very little vanilla — 9 years ago
Full body and very smooth once it opens up. Hint of spice on the finish. 21st anniversary at Truluck's — 9 years ago

Decanted for about nine hours. Fresh raspberries, cherries, and a bit of mushrooms. Very elegant. Full-bodied, but not quite as powerful as other Barolos I’ve had over the years. — 10 months ago
2017 Castello di Ama L’Apparita was the wine that I pulled for the evening. Italian Merlot. Ama is an old, fortified village situated near Radda and Gaiole in the heart of the Chianti Classico region. On the nose, intense dark berries. A full bodied wine with layers of beautiful ripe fruit. Perfect balance. Stellar finish. Stunning. — 2 years ago
#lupa couldn't resist a second bottle of this one. Smooth easy to share with can lovers but not too big for me — 9 years ago
