La Pèira

Pèira Levada

Alexandre Durand Velvet Underschiste Red Blend

Smell is butterfly bush, hibiscus, strawberry, taste is slightly chalky, acidic, with raspberry and the acid is succulent and thorough with a small chalky earthiness that is melony and almost salty, beautiful magenta that’s more purple than red — 3 years ago

Deusyls Vin de Pays de l'Hérault White Rhone Blend 2007

We greatly enjoyed the 2007 in March of 2013. In fact, it was probably the best Languedoc white I have tasted. Just opened a second bottle on NY's Eve and sadly a bit passed its prime. Still has a slightly bewitching nose, but the stone fruit has begun to turn bitter. The color is very mature for only 7 years of age or so. Drink up if you have any. My score reflects this wine when it was in more prime drinking condition. Hope that makes sense! — 7 years ago

Les Obriers de La Pèira Coteaux du Languedoc Les Terrasses du Larzac 2011

Medium dark color, luscious full body. Overripe fruit, earth, must on nose. Medium acid, very faint tannin, likely from stem and seed. Slight pepper finish on nose. Overall complex and awesome for the price — 6 years ago

Las Flors de la Pèira Les Terrasses du Larzac Red Rhone Blend 2012

Didn't really show up to play tonight. Perhaps some air will improve. Very closed and one dimensional. Off bottle? Day 2 & 3: Ok here we go. Compote, leather, earth, garrigue, violet, sweet spices, forest, animal. Needs time. Maintains a certain richness while expressing a sense of elegance. — 6 years ago

Deusyls de la Peira Vin de Pays de l'Hérault White Rhone Blend 2011

17.5+ rich golden colour. Legs. Honey and white fruit nose. V full on palate, remarkably long. It's a Rhone blend, but distinct from Hermitage and CNDP. Must buy more.
