See many previous notes. Holding up comfortably from this excellent cooler vintage . 54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 46% Shiraz. I am lucky to have 6 bottles left from back in the day when I bought 2 dozen. Definitely drinking on the plateau and will carry on for a while yet. Medium weight palate but with great length and persistence. Will probably consume the rest over the next 3 to 4 years. Penfolds 2020 collection (17 wines)just released in Australia. The 2018 Bin 389 received 96 points from Halliday. The 2016 Grange is being talked about as one of the greats - 99 points from Halliday. — 6 years ago

Very nice. Good acidity and tannins. Floral and olive on the nose? Great value for $18.99 — 10 years ago
Cheap and delightful — 6 years ago
Mid to deep Ruby in colour. Some maturity in evidence on the rim. Cedar/cigar box aromas with black currant and cassis - classic Pauillac descriptors Only medium bodied - lacked some intensity for the vintage. Restrained - 20 years might be its limit. It will sit on the plateau but won’t improve. In summary a lovely old claret and has been better than its 5th Growth status for decades. “Lunch Bags” as old poms used to refer to it as. — 6 years ago

A bit fruity, but tannin as well. Very nice. — 7 years ago
One of my favorite wines of all time. Had this last fall, had it in Paris at La Buvette--still has that olive brine funk that I love (it sounds weird but it's really good I promise!) — 9 years ago

So this rating is attached to a rating for a Rose Blend. We did not have that wine. Ours was a red, and I believe it was a blend because there was no other description of what kind it was.
We got this at Trader Joe’s and it was a French wine. It was very smooth and drinkable and balanced, yet dry. Tannins were not overpowering. — 5 years ago
