Fresh buttered crescent roll nose. Medium aggressive bubbles. Applesauce with a squeeze of Meyer lemon. Clean mouth feel. Very good! Sigh Bubbles Club — 8 years ago
I didn't expect this wine so good. Nice nose with aromas of ripe peach, baked apple and a bit of vanilla crescent. Medium bodied with a zippy acidity & good finish including a nice mineral aftertaste.
I'm always saying that this category of German Riesling is still one of the hidden treasures & a bang for the buck. — 8 years ago
Wine Review: When visiting this all red wine focused winery on Lake Seneca, owner Kate Thomas told me this was their Wednesday wine. After trying it, I would say this very easy to drink wine could be your everyday wine. This wine opens with a mild light berry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is very well balanced, smooth, approachable, and had juicy cherry flavors. This wine finishes slightly dry and lingers for a while. This wine is a good food wine that would pair well with many foods. This is a great value wine that you would enjoy throughout the fall. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: In the toolbox it is the crescent wrench, in the kitchen it is the salt and pepper, and in a relationship it is the love. Red Legend gets it done. A healthy dose of Cabernet Franc and Merlot and whatever else is in the Shalestone cupboard. — 11 years ago
Great body, notes of vanilla and warm spices: nutmeg and cinnamon — 6 years ago
Pale ruby with a thin rim, brown tint on the crescent. Red fruit with spice on the nose. Brilliant acidity begs for food. The red fruit bursts through on the palate with a candied element. Finish is long. — 7 years ago
This is superb. Has peachy green aromatics, lift, a crescent of green fruit, and that resounding silex minerality. This is stupendous. — 8 years ago
Delightfully innocuous. The kind of thing you want to drink when you want something a cut above "delicious", but that you don't need to think about. If you must think, this is all about ripe berries, a medium body, a hint of vanilla...extract? And mid-level tannins. And a stellar minimalist label. I like a crescent moon motif. — 8 years ago
