Smooth, elegant, nutty, sweet, rancio. This is spectacular sherry/Madeira! The best Texas wine there is, hands down. Like a mouthful of dry pecans but sweet and acidic at the same time. Worth every penny! — 10 years ago

A more elegant style of Pinot noir and this is the newest project from Barbara banke she believed in the Anderson valley so she started buying up vineyards in this valley to do a new Pinot noir project. 2007 was the first vintage and Maggie hawk was one of the Jackson's horses. Only 250 cases of this wine was produced this year no 2008 was produced due to the fires. A very pretty nose of baking spices black raspberry and this is clone 2a a very small cluster so very concentrated. A very smooth and silky texture with an array of spice and partial whole cluster Elizabeth grant Douglas is the winemaker here same as la Crema. A big Pinot noir and quite savory. Nice Rose. Different in that they use a Pinot Noir grape. Has a bit of a slightly "carbonated" feel in the mouth. Not a good description; but try or and find the words for me. — 11 years ago
