Full, herbal, ripe and oaky on the nose, obviously still young but more than ready to play. Odors of licorice and Fernet or Chartreuse come through. Thank goodness this has been open since yesterday, it almost certainly needed it. On the palate, bright cassis, wild strawberry and herbal liquor comes through with jasmine and finely structured tannins. Yumyumyum. — 9 years ago

Baked speckled pear and white peach, mega ripe fruit bordering buttery, but with abundant herbal--anise, yellow chartreuse, fenugreek, Chinese herbal tea--notes. Peach yogurt and brioche. Mouthfuls of flavor and acidity holds up to it. A powerhouse for sure. — 10 years ago
