Liked it more as it opened. Dry and tannic for a Merlot-dominated Bordeaux, but not at all disappointing. Somewhat single-note. Excellent alone for an uncommonly warm January evening on the porch.
Edit: Another bottle a few days later likewise benefited from some air (high pour), and was even more appreciated for its simple, solid representation of the region. — 8 years ago

Nothing too complex about this one, it's just delicious. Simple, yet achieving some elegance. Black cherries, white pepper, and herbs. Plenty of acid and rusticness. Grignolino is an unknown varietal to me but it certainly shows promise here. — 9 years ago

Pure Coche fun with real persistence. Mental note not to drink this alongside a Montrachet again... Lemon, chalk, white peach, honeysuckle. Much more going on here than the simple, high-toned aromatic expression of the typical New World Albariño.
