Regardless of how dark a grape is, island/hot coastal wine regions in that part of the world (Greece and Italy, Spanish and French islands, etc). Always seem to have a fresh minerality to them. Black tea, currants, dry, dry, dry. Very dark, but all freshened up by that island minerality. — 6 years ago
