Nice notes of honeysuckle and pineapple. Nose and initial palate surge hint at more sweetness than this (fabulously) dry wine offers up. — 9 years ago

'07 Cuvée de Garde at Terroir NYC. So fresh and so clean, while reading Lars Carlsberg discuss the disappearance of the truly dry Kabinett. — 13 years ago

The Kronenita rides again. It is so tiny it makes the nuts look big. I wish @Doug Burress and @Anthony Piazza were here to smash a few of these little guys with me. — 10 years ago

Sinebrychoff porter. I rarely put beers on here but this is a special one. Started by a Russian--that's Синебрюхов to you--now a very small tentacle of the Carlsberg octopus. Brewed and bottled in Finland, this is _the_ Baltic porter, a fabulously pleasing accord of dark malts, coffee, and chocolate. All with a lovely prominent bitter note , like Susan Sontag's streak of grey. Properly bone-dry with an ABV of only 7.2%. This bottle is ten years old and only just starting to fade. — 9 years ago

The kronenita rides again! It still makes my hand look big, it is still refreshing, but it isn't the same without @Doug Burress and @Anthony Piazza! — 9 years ago

Keo is ubiquitous in Cyprus, as is Carlsberg. It's a classic pilsner but without excessive carbonation. A brew for the sun. — 8 years ago
