Leading with faith award wine from Jackie had at Mary Beth and Mike's — 9 years ago
v96. A soft spot in my heart always as it was the year I won my champagne award. 96 a great but fruitful vintage, this baby still so young and while showing hazlenut brioche creme brûlée auto lysis development, could have easily been another 5 years. Stunning. Wish I could do it all over again — 9 years ago
Very straightforward and enjoyable Riesling full of fruit, mostly peach balanced with decent acidity. Ladies choice award! — 10 years ago
Continuing on with the award winning Chardonnay theme - this 2010 vintage won a trophy in the UK organised by Matthew Jukes. Nose of grilled nuts , nectarine and toasty oak. In the fuller style. A real crowd pleaser and dangerously drinkable. Also great value at $25.00. 17.5.+ — 10 years ago

Award winning Pinot Noir; a bit of a tart edge, strawberry. — 11 years ago
My major award just arrived! This is one of the few times in life that I have been excited about something in an fairly nondescript box that didn't end up being a leg lamp.

Juicy apple flavours, with a spicy strawberry nose. Interesting pink tint. Veritas silver medal, and 2012 best value award. — 13 years ago
So, as I understand it this one was about 50 Syrah, 30cab, and the balance PV. Good wine, and apparently was opened up yesterday and decanted for quite a few hours before being served toeday. Immediately the front hits you with that Paso Syrah fruit. Blackberry, spiced cinnamon cake, herbal middle. The finish shows tamed acidity and definitely some oxidation likely in part due to the decant times but was showing some pepper and spiced fruitcake. This wine almost seemed to have a bit of an oxidized quality on the finish. IMO, the 20 percent PV and 30% cab really don't show until the very back. The fruit is definitely ample, and it wins that award hands-down with exception to the 2011 Morlet that outdid it in the youthful fruit / jammy fruit category. Finished with lots of oak like the 2008 Blankiet. This one still has 10 years ahead of it easily but was good to enjoy tonight. — 8 years ago
This is by far my favorite Riesling. Solid flavor, not at all acidic, and very smooth. This particular year was an award winner in Europe so good luck finding any bottles. — 9 years ago
Thymiopoullos Vineyards (Trilofos, Naoussa) earned the wow award (IMHO) in the Greek trade show at 25 Lusk earlier during 2015 for its Xinomavro, and allowing me to meet the winemaker. I won't leave home without it. Passion fruit with a hint of Cardomom, smooth, round, long yet dynamic across the palate, leaves you speechless like a Rubenesque ménage a cinq. Perfect for a romantic encounter, while remaining a fabulous bargain, challenging to share without intentions. — 10 years ago

Merano wine award 2012. Delicato e persistente — 12 years ago
Fenn Valley vineyards raspberry wine is a wonderful treat when available. Made and bottled only once every two to three years, obtaining this award winning wine takes patience. Buy a good number when you can. — 12 years ago
No idea how long this wine was open, but probably was for an hour before I got there today. This wins the youthful fruit award (even beats the 13 Amici). This wine is massive, and displays a lot of ample chalky blackberry fruit, vanilla, and some lavender. The middle is darker, and finishes with good length, good acidity, excellent structure, and great balance. Was going to open the 2009 to compare, but will instead save this for another day. I'd say that this wine is undoubtedly on the rise, therefore the proper place for this one is in the cellar! But, we were CURIOUS, OK??? If you absolutely, positively HAVE to drink this one now, do it with a lot of decant time!! — 8 years ago
Funny how Mr Parker and I have such a difference in taste :-) he would score a table wine with 92 points and will award this lovely elegant and complex Burgundy with 88 points go figure. The wine is extremely elegant and concentrated, the nose is complex and multi laired with red berries, black current, cassis, mineral and leather all coming together into a full bodies elegant and supple wine , complex and rich , with a long delicious finish. My score 92, drink to 2025 perhaps longer . — 9 years ago

Dark golden amber. Pungent grapefruit jelly, orange peel, caramel and honey notes on the captivating nose. Rich and creamy on entry, then lighter and lively thanks to an underpinning of fresh minerality. Caramel and sweet notes last and last. Made with 100% Nasco, this is a famous, multiple-award-winning wine, the charms of which have almost always escaped me; not so in this vintage. One of the very best versions of Latinias ever.
