Cherry and spice, just like the label says. Great balance. This one is out of the park. — 6 years ago
Clean apple flavor with a funk on the end. If you haven't gotten on board the dry cider wine train, you need to start here. — 7 years ago

In hills of Paso Robles, not far from Hearst castle, there is a man with a Homeric vision. His name is Daniel Daou and he is devoting his life to creating outstanding Cabernet’s. Deep red with complex dark berry nose, aged for 11 months on French oak (60% new). On the palate blackberry, tart cherry and a licorice twist, gentle background spice with savory fine tannins. Medium+ finish ending with cacao and earthy herbs. Great value. I also tried the Reserve which is something special. — 6 years ago
From the castle in Napa. Crisp, and just the right amount of sweetness. — 7 years ago
Non-barel fermented English ortega. Reminded me of a Marlborough sauv blanc.. Bold, bone dry, racy, sharp goosberries initially but then a smooth finish. Been keeping it 4 or 5 months for Christmas. — 7 years ago
Great for a special occasion with friends — 8 years ago
At Barone Ricasoli, castle winery in Chianti with Claudia and Bob. 14 euro bottle. — 8 years ago
The cherry shines through, without being overwhelmingly sweet. Extremely well balanced, would never have guessed this was 8%. If you want to try an ale brewed with fruit, but not a lambic, try this. — 8 years ago
