GW tasting 10/17/16 Alsatian. Wow a balanced and floral and beautiful nose of Gewurz. A bit sweetness on palate balanced by acidity. Long finish. Beautiful and surprising wine on its balance. $38. — 8 years ago
Pale straw, faded yellow,
Steely, minerally, citrus, sea breeze, apple, floral, low note of honey
Stone, excellent minerality, lime, fresh and chewy pineapple, briny, crisp, light body, dry, zesty, superb acidity (mouth tickeringly so)
Finish on apple-y, honey dew, yeasty, oily/glycerin, no alcoholic heat - not even a trace,
Superb wine. Loving this. This reminds me of Kientzler Riesling with sharp acidity. The saliva teasing, mouth watering acidity lingers on even more than half an hour after drinking. — 8 years ago
Honeycomb, pet, lush. So good. Sexy. — 9 years ago
Very crisp and biscuit-y too — 6 years ago
Acid up front which lingers for an extended time on the palate. Pomelo and key lime zest. — 7 years ago
The trick with Gewurtztraminer is that it can be a bit tacky when not well mastered. Here we have the subtle version of the Gewurtz' : leetchi - checked, rose - checked, a good amount of minerality. Everything is beautifully balanced and not too powerful. To wrap it up, go to your local store, buy it and share it with friends !

Quite pale, floral nose, nice acid - more green apple than we'd expected from Alsace. — 7 years ago
