Tried 2013 vintage in a restaurant priced $60 (keystone the price). Nice bottle with a good balance of several varieties Cab, merlot & PV. Hints of cherry, bit of cocoa and soft tannins. Could use a few more years to mellow out but overall very drinkable now. Fine addition to the Stags Leap collection — 9 years ago

Pretty much textbook, classic, benchmark, keystone, (insert your own word for damn right). Dried out, ripe red fruits? Check. American oak? Hmm, coconut, dill, sweet and sour, and vanilla extract, so yes. Baked clay? Uh huh. Long, lingering and tart finish? Damn right. Sexy as all hell? Well I'll leave that up to the drinker... — 10 years ago
