Most complex of four wines poured by Kelley Fox at dinner in Chicago. Rich, round, ripe with chocolate covered cherry notes with baking spices. This wine drank well but has a long glorious future in front of it. Served with rich chocolate pot of cream with sweet, black huckleberries... the wine drank best by itself. Lucky me to be able to find a few bottles of the 2013 vintage zin the challenging Pennsylvania State Store system. First taste was elegant as sooth. The soft tannins emerged slowly. A gorgeous wine. Surprisingly, the initial taste reminded me of certain Kelley Fox pinots. I have to do further investigation on this point. — 8 years ago

Just gorgeous—maybe my favorite yet from Kelley Fox. The old vines, elevation and pacific breeze of this site clearly contribute to an incredible elegance and transparency. Vibrant strawberry, rhubarb and black cherry with spice, forest floor and tilled soil.
