Marvelous Tzakolina 100% Hondarrabi Zuri…light lemon yellow in the glass. Citrus nose, touch of straw/hay, 12% ABV… a bit rounder, more balanced acidity than most Basque whites… suspect some lees contact. Creamy, zesty, ripe apple, juicy pear, and melon. Perfect foil to Iberico jamon and funky Basque cheese and tomato toast. Glorious celebration of simple neutral-oaked Mediterranean sun-baked white. I’ll be looking for more! — 6 months ago
