Phenomenal! Dark plum base but layers of exhiberant and concentrated small dark berries and red fruit jump from the glass, but all enveloped in deep, complex earthy tones. Palate is insane, minerality and acidity are tingling, almost sparking on the sides of the mouth, mingling with the very fine lively tannins. So much pleasure without sacrificing any seriousness — 6 months ago
Very juicy red, light tannins — 7 months ago
Great earthy wine. Would buy again — 2 years ago
Riktigt fint vin. Lamm eller nöt och någon syrlig sås såsom bearnaise är en perfekt kombo. En fransk favorit. Värd pengarna. — 5 years ago
Lovely, light but packs a punch. — 6 years ago

Quintessential Syrah from Columbia Valley. Spiced, stewed blueberry notes in otherwise dark dry fruit.

2002. Wow. Beautiful and elegant. Only 10% abv according to the label but I’d guess higher. Petrol, honey, Corn Pops cereal, dill, mandarin oranges, golden raisin. This is amazing. — 6 months ago
The 2022 Viognier K Art Den Hoed is spicy in the glass, wafting up with exotic florals, lime and young peach. It’s nearly glycerol in feel, with saline minerals and zesty acidity to balance. Sour citrus offsets ripe pit fruits. This tapers off spicy with medium-length and dried apricot notes. $20.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, August 2023) — 9 months ago
Luscious.. ♥️♥️♥️ — 10 months ago
The Monte Rosso was outstanding in every way- expressive nose of dark red fruits and layers that touched all parts of the palate. The flavors complimented a wonderful dinner. 8 years and still getting better. 100 year old vines that show how good Zinfandel can be when grown and tended to reveal their sense of place. Outstanding 🍷🍷🍷 — 5 years ago
This was our second bottle. First was uninspiring and despite the 97pt RP rating, found it to be disappointing. The trick is to let it breathe for at least an hour to let the flavors develop. It is no Opus One but very satisfying with a juicy steak or just plain enjoyment! — 7 years ago
Fantastic on a humid hot day! Classic #GruVee — 9 years ago
2020 drinking very well after a short decant - beautiful full body with a very persistent finish. Dark fruits, cassis, smoke and mineral / iron accents - great quality relative to the price — 6 months ago
Light and smooth. — 6 months ago
Really delicious. Blackberry, currants, berry, hint of veg broth. — 7 months ago
1 hour decant(little fine/cloudy sediment). A breathtaking dark magenta color. On the nose: jumping from the glass are stewed cherries/plum, herbaceous, licorice, roasted meat, earth, touch of menthol. Taste: elegant, juicy, velvety wine with dark cherry, pepper, chocolate, cedar, and a anise/tobacco medium plus finish. From the Sonoma side of the Mayacamas mtns. Purchased on a recent visit...beautiful indoor/outdoor tasting room featuring their small production wines. If you want to throw down some serious change they offer a terrific multi course food and wine pairing in the underground cellar. — 9 months ago

I'm with the skeptics of this vintage lots of fruit, fine, ripeness, fine but it's not that great. — 9 years ago
Dried flowers, pepper, and toffee. Lovely. — 9 years ago
Chapoutier never disappoints. Nice and light. Raspberry on the nose and palate. Falls off on the finish. Made for hot summer days. — 11 years ago
