This gsm was great for the price. Sweet on the nose, dry fruit on the taste. Plum and oak. — 7 years ago
Super bright, carbonic type aromas. Red fruits and rose jump out. Silky and almost weightless in the palate but with lovely texture, fruit and spice. — 9 years ago
This83 was better than the last couple I drank and very sexy almost Bordeaux like in the nose. The wine drank well from jump street and it was awesome to taste. — 9 years ago
Straw yellow and turbid, grapefruit and pineapple jump out of the glass. Full bodied, ripe, and concentrated with tasteful oak treatment and great acidity. — 9 years ago
Happy Mother's Day part 2!!! 1.5 hour decant (lots of fine/chunky sediment). A bewitching dark crimson color with a little bricking. On the nose: aromas jump from the glass..blackberry, cedar, pine, spice, currents, hint of vanilla/chocolate. Taste: plum, that COS spice, cedar, pencil lead, a raspberry chocolate finish. A rich wine with elegant and sweet mostly resolved tannins...in its drinking window with plenty of time to go.....a wine showing components for aging beautifully!

Earthy and meaty from jump. The pretty fruit lurks pretty far under but comes strong on the finish and as I keep sipping, along with a big herbal dose. It's a fun ride! And here I thought everything in Madrid was gray and dull. 🙄 — 8 years ago
How about just "Yes" burnt Carmel nutty dry well balanced. Perfectly paired with olive oil cake. Beautiful. This is the third sherry from this producer I have drank in the past 2 months and each one outdoes the previous one. Pure heaven that goes on and on. Nothing else needs to be said. If you are able to acquire this, I strongly recommend you jump on this beauty!! — 9 years ago
The smell didn't quite make me jump but it really grew on me and the flavor is light, a little fruity and pleasant. Very drinkable. Will order again. — 9 years ago
Pure in its expression, spicy and stewed blue and black fruit dominate, while spice and damp clay earth jump from the glass — 6 years ago
Color of mix of ruby, purple, and black tea note. Nose of plum, some savory spice, some dried strawberries, hint is acidity and strength of alcohol. Taste of some cocoa, black tea actually, some orange peel, a bit too watery, raisins, dried strawberries, spice, some peachy note, and hint of earthy note. I wonder if she needs some time to open up. After 20 or so minutes, flavors jump back to life. Taste notes are more vivid with addition of leafy notes. Aftertaste of good tannins, some tobacco leaves, and residual spice note. Drink her now. — 7 years ago
Friday nights wine comes from the right bank of Bordeaux - Canon Fronsac. The 2010 Chateau Moulin Haut Laroque 65% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Malbec. The Herve family first started making wine back in 1890 and continue to today. A great track record and delivering a well valued Bordeaux.
The nose is very expressive with dark fruits of black plum, blackberry, black currant, licorice, clove, coffee beans and tar.
Upon first sip black cherries jump out at you full force, with blueberries, a smooth coating of creme de cassis and dried oregano.
There is a nice full bodied mouth feel with medium + acidity and medium sandy tannins.
For the price this is a very nice and serviceable Bordeaux.
