Unfortunately the last bottle from my cellar! Equally unfortunate is the fact of 2009 vintage being the last great Marques de Borba produced by JP Ramos(he is now too supermarketized im afraid). 2009 was an amazing Trincadeira harvest in Alentejo and one can truly see it in this baco. At the Zwanze Day Destival at Jolly Pumpkin. Fantastic beers all around, but this offering from JP was the best. Aged for 6 years, according to the BrewMaster they release 2 cases. Fantastic beer - one of the best I've ever had from JP. — 9 years ago

Morey saint Denis 2009 Cuvée Pope JP II from Pinot noir vines planted in 1920. There is bottle variation but this one is lovely: moca, caramel, with a smell that is complex like a fantail, long aftertaste. Love this wine. — 10 years ago

Jolly Pumpkin Maracaibo Especial. Nice drinkable sour ale of the JP tradition with some prominent dry cocoa flavor. Do not be fooled by the label of brown ale, which is generally the most disappointing beer style on the planet. Beautiful sweet aromas of warm brown sugar, graphite, and black cherries. Similar on the palate with vanilla and sugar plums on the long finish. Not a hard edge to this wine. Silly smooth tannins. Awesomeness in a bottle. What u get when u take a vineyard that shares a fence line with screaming eagle and Russell Bevan as the wine maker.
