Love this bold mixture of blackberry, cranberry & currants. It has a perfect amount of smokiness and a nice hint of cocoa. — 5 years ago
Such a phenomenal red blend. This blend was one of the best I sampled at Taste WA. — 6 years ago
Really enjoyable white wine. Crisp, lots of body with touch of honeysuckle — 6 years ago
Part of a Cabernet Sauvignon tasting. A bit sweet, but very easy to drink. — 7 years ago
Right on the money with this Riesling! Straw in color and star bright. Nose was filled with lemon-lime, honeydew, Granny Smith apples, wild honey, citrus blossom, ginger, and new plastic pool toy aromas. The palate was extremely well balanced and the acidity was high and puckering. The tart lemon and lime flavors held through the finish. The finish was surprisingly long, and it was a nice medium-minus body. This Riesling provides a solid compliment to spicy sushi and spicy foods. It holds up strong and has a lot of backbone. All in all, this is your Riesling if you are looking for a refreshing, acidic, dry breath of fresh air. Instant favorite of mine! Washington dry Rieslings are spectacular. Cheers! — 9 years ago
One of my go to Cabernet's! Unfortunately my most recent bottle had a bad cork and tasted as such :( — 9 years ago
Big tannins and big taste while still being easy to drink. One of Matthews' best! — 9 years ago
One of my faves. I ordered two half bottles - imagine my delight when I received two full bottles at the half bottle price. — 12 years ago
Color of many shades of purple, with gray hue on the rim. Nice legs. Nose of wet mushroom, violet, strawberry, savory spice, raspberry, strength of alcohol, and a bit leather. Nose is fragrant. Taste follows the nose, silky and warm, lot of raspberry, a bit peppery, flowering note, and slightly sweet. Taste is clean, in harmony, and well balanced. Aftertaste is medium long and savory. A beauty. — 4 years ago
I’m always down for a bottle of Canvasback as I find it to be consistently good. I enjoy the robust, ripe red & black fruits, the notes of cedar and wood shavings, menthol and baking spices, and the seductively sweet notes of burnt brown sugar, molasses, and Luxardo syrup. While it’s on the higher end of the price I consider reasonable for this selection, it’s still agreeable in my opinion. — 5 years ago
Oh my! I saved several of these to reach 2019. Well worth it! The fullness and flavors are very very nice. I love the extreme cedar and vanilla. Well worth the wait. — 6 years ago
Medium purple color with a nose of blackberries, vanilla, and oak. A simple straightforward wine that performs well on the one dimension it is playing. Medium bodied, well balanced, with a good finish. Picked up at a warehouse club for $7, but drinks like $15. — 8 years ago
Wow. Pale golden color with mild grapes on the nose. Mouth is sweet with hints of citrus and dare I say apple?! Wow — 8 years ago
I love this wine. Very smooth and earthy. Reminds me of a nice Long Island Cab. Deep and smooth with a great finish — 8 years ago
Very good with grilled pork loin on a warm afternoon. A refreshing rose. — 9 years ago
Spicy & earthy/funky. Layers of black fruits, smoke and grilled herbs. Savory and a little wild. — 9 years ago
Normally the most exotic aromatically and with a firm tannin structure, the 2011 Syrah En Chamberlin doesn’t disappoint! Offering up notions of liquid herbs, bacon fat, exotic flowers and grilled meat, as well as a knockout core of sweet Syrah fruit, it possesses a full-bodied, structured mouthfeel that carries awesome purity of fruit, excellent mid-palate depth and chewy, firm tannin on the finish. — 10 years ago
Color - dark purple garnet. A bold expressive funky perfume fruit nose so classic of Cayuse with mineral-meat, smokey and mint notes lingering with a vanilla toast scent. Juicy and elegant; rich with dark plum-cherry flavors intertwined with a smokey soil bacon bitters taste—the mineral-iron characteristics follow with a tobacco long finish. Looking forward to seeing how the flavors change with different foods and as the wine opens up. Bionic Frog is favorite and definitely a wine to try and store in your cellar. Christophe Baron does it again! — 4 years ago
Starting to soften just slightly and drinks well now with a short decant. Bright red fruits from the grenache, some darker and more savory elements from the mourvedre and just a touch of syrah which I can’t pick out on the palate but makes for a nice bouquet. — 6 years ago
Layered, a surprising tasty. Best thing I’ve had out of WA! — 8 years ago
Yup...that's Neil Patrick Harris on their Label. Sleight of Hand Cellars got involved in a charity that NPH was apart. They got to talking and found he not only had a love of Magic, but wine as well. The relationship evolved well enough, they asked him if he would be on one of their labels and Neil agreed. The "Sleight of Hand Cellars" label has been seen a few times on "How I Met Your Mother." NPH is also is a club member. The Conjurer is blend of 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Cabernet Franc, 8% Merlot and a splash of Petit Verdot from the Columbia Valley. Nice, fresh nose of; ripe dark currants, blackberries, black plum, dark cherries, black raspberries, black licorice, dark chocolate, soft spice, wood shavings and fresh dark florals. The palate is M+ body & soft M+ tannins with a thick, round mouthfeel. Dark spice, eucalyptus, mint, herb notes, cinnamon, vanilla, clove, chocolate, caramel apple, black licorice, crushed rocks, soft leather, nice, round, acidity and a very well polish finish. This is very easy to drink young and will cellar 10 years. — 8 years ago
Wow one of my defiantly go to wines for guests!!! Wonderful arorma black cherry and plum balance is amazing!! — 8 years ago
A fabulous surprise in a bottle from Walla Walla. My boyfriend bought this on a whim and we opened the first of the bottles tonight. Decanted for about an hour and..... What a delight of a cab! Gorgeous, deep color.... Luscious fruit on the nose... Topped only by a complex mouthful of blackberry, earth and a touch of spice. Took me a while to sip through my glass as the enjoyable finish lingered!!! 😊😊 — 9 years ago
