Looks 10. Aroma 8 taste 17 future 8 very dark ruby color. Depth of color tells a lot about 2009. Dark berries, wood, wet soil, lead. And red berries towards the end. Still rough and has not opened up after the first glass. Fruitier than expected. Medium body with some chewy tannin through the finish. Yummy. Now through 2017. feels like walking through a wood after a rainy fall with my son wondering what will happen next. — 11 years ago
Blackberry, wet humus, olive, crushed rose petals. It's fun to taste wines that sorta act like a Pinot, but wield some pretty fruit/earth/spice balance in different ways, and with sneaky tannins. Damn, son. This is nice. — 11 years ago
Holy Mother of Jerez Son of a Biscuit Eating Motherless Goat!! This is so unique, weird, delicious. Could literally sip just enough to wet the lips all day long. This makes aged fernet seem worthless and sterile. @steviestacionis @nopasf — 13 years ago

Clearly Bill Harlan passed down great winemaking to his son Will. Big dark fruit with wet slate and earth and a hint of pencil shavings. Well done even given the challenging year Napa had in 2011. — 9 years ago
