Citrus and mineral nose. Interesting combo of white peach and ocean water. I liked it. — 8 years ago
Second time for me tasting this wine and I'm still impressed by the complexity. So many layers of different aromas. Very impressive. On the palate its a totally differential approach than all the GGs I tasted before. Much rounder, softer with pure elegance and a super, super subtle power. This Sankt Nikolaus plays in a totally different league. Kühn told us that he wants to do a different wine out of the grape variety than the other producers. Like the Tements do in Austria with their Sauvignon Blancs he said. — 9 years ago

Heerlijke riesling. Zoet maar niet te zoet. Lichte koolzuur, rozijnen, perzikken, 'notes of crème brûlee', — 10 years ago
Great fruit/acid balance. — 10 years ago
Crazy, natural wine that is truely authentic and reminds me of burgundy, but way more awesome because it's actually german, and made from reisling. Sort of smokey, weird funk floats on top of a vibrant stonefruit palate. — 10 years ago
Great juice! Needs time but I likey... — 11 years ago
10 dollars. Very complex. Great choice — 12 years ago
Lots of sparkle, just a little fruity and sweet with a bit of a buttery taste. — 12 years ago

If I’ve found a sweet spot it’s definitely value Kabinett Riesling - $15-$25. Show me another white grape this consistent and with complexity in this price range. Much thanks is owed to Terry Thiese and the Skurnick team for making wines available from producers like Jakob Schneider, Carl Loewen, Muelenhoff, Selbach-Oster, and Muller-Catoir. Each have a modestly priced Kabinett showing plenty of acid and explosive smokey citrus fruit. This week’s was Jakob Schneider - just off dry with flinty, flowery, ginger notes. Great for pre-dinner snacking. — 7 years ago
