This "poor Man's Amarone" made our day!.) Dark ruby color with burgundy shades. Evolution of aroma is impressive, it's like "three-storey building". "Вasement" packed with smoldering peat & fallen leaves, petroleum, licorice. The second "floor" gives aroma of smoked meat. Finally, black berries and hints of wet autumn leaves are on a dessert. Juicy and strong. Berries accompany dark cherries in a palate and 5-spice is in aftertaste. Actually second day this Ripasso is none the worse! — 11 years ago
