Strong acid backbone. A little young still @2009 in late 2017 but totally drinkable after decanting. — 7 years ago
Had a faulthy bottle som months AFP - this one was far better - Classic cote rotie, maybe too expensive compared with the Price. — 8 years ago
The rating is more for this cool horizontal of 2010 Jack Creek Cellars from Paso Robles (regular, reserve, and Stained, the latter being aged in concrete). Out of the gate, the regular was good, but within 10 minutes the reserve started to take over with fantastic depth. The Stained was still the star in terms of sheer elegance. A really cool tasting from J&V Cellars! — 9 years ago
Incredible cote rotie - toward peak- dark dried fruits - plenty of spicy earth .... Love Rhone wines! — 9 years ago
A well crafted wine that's appreciated humbly. There's a great balance here. The sweetened red fruit of Grenache and the meaty note from the Syrah have a striking and choreographed alliance. The fine tannin and a hefty finish show a well crafted wine. Great value. — 10 years ago
Aged to perfection! Little bit of funk, little bit of pepper, lot a bit of deliciousness! — 7 years ago

I can't believe I'm drinking a 31 year old gigondas. And the tanned are so soft, they might be guacanos. Delicious fruit. — 9 years ago
Evolved. Baked apple, brioche, nutmeg. Long, fresh, lively finish. V-day, with Ms J and some foie gras. — 9 years ago
