Cairanne Côtes du Rhône Villages Red Rhône Blend

Really dark fruit flavors with provencal herbs joining the party. I always love these wines for their old world funk and roasted fruit characteristics. — 7 years ago

Jack Creek Cellars

Pinot Noir Estate Reserve Kruse Vineyards 2010

The rating is more for this cool horizontal of 2010 Jack Creek Cellars from Paso Robles (regular, reserve, and Stained, the latter being aged in concrete). Out of the gate, the regular was good, but within 10 minutes the reserve started to take over with fantastic depth. The Stained was still the star in terms of sheer elegance. A really cool tasting from J&V Cellars! — 8 years ago

Vacqueyras Red Rhone Blend 1999

A well crafted wine that's appreciated humbly. There's a great balance here. The sweetened red fruit of Grenache and the meaty note from the Syrah have a striking and choreographed alliance. The fine tannin and a hefty finish show a well crafted wine. Great value. — 9 years ago
