Popped and poured. Deep ruby color with moderate staining of the tears. Developing, with a fairly becoming nose with ripe black plums, dark bramble fruit, vanilla, some pipe tobacco, some chocolate and baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannins and medium(+?) acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. It’s really primary now but it should drink better after 2025 and through 2034. — 6 months ago
2020 vintage. Wow. Medium ruby color. Red fruit aroma. Flavors of raspberry and strawberry jam, herbal note (lovage?), some bell pepper with moderate acid, little tannin depending on the temperature. Give it a moment, it will open up after 10 minutes in your glass. — 10 months ago
Burgundian notes. Dark brooding notes with good structure. Very nice. — a year ago

Don’t always love white wines, but enjoyed this one a lot — 3 years ago
It's still a puppy and needed a good amount to open up. From start to finish one of the best American Pinots I've had. Elegant and complex, red fruit and a lot of earth notes. — 10 years ago
This was the most Burgundian California Pinot that I’ve ever had, both the nose and on the palette. The wine would have benefited from an hour or two decant. Rich darker fruit well integrated with some tar and some earthy notes. — 8 months ago

Truly my kind of white. Oily, dry and with a character of its own. Equally suitable w/ & w/o food: Try it w/ monkfish! 2 years celebration, 15/3-2018 — 6 years ago
