Last bottle. Bright yellow, excellent clarity. Stone fruit and white floral notes in nose. Peach, apricot, lemon and floral flavors, creamy finish with some skin astringency. A peachy, slightly dusty and floral aftertaste. Rounded mouthfeel, bone dry. Real length in the peach flavor after 60 minutes. As protean a Viognier as you are likely to run across in the first hour after opening, then the stone fruit and full assortment of citrus (lemon, Meyer lemon, grapefruit) emerges. Fruit flavor profile has changed since my last tasting 2.5 years earlier. Give it time to open. Who knew you could age Viognier? — 5 years ago

Hey folks, this a totally new wine. 20th Anniversary 100% Petit Verdot, but it is a port-style dessert wine (not the same as their Jongleur PV red table wine). Grapes from Dionysus Vineyard, Columbia Valley. Lightly flavored, well balanced; impressive for their first effort at this style wine. On the pricey side but nice to see the winemaking team stretch themselves so effectively. Deep dense highly extracted purple red; excellent clarity at margins. Black currant fruit leather in nose with a touch of butter (later, butterscotch), funk, raspberry, blueberry, white pepper, spice and canned spinach (evolves into canned corn and something like dill; complex nose). Black currant, blackberry and black (later white) pepper flavors with cherry cola and a touch of spearmint in finish. (Sorry, it’s not a goth affectation or such; I just call it as I perceive it, honestly, scientifically, as best I can make it out). Some skin bitterness with moderate skin astringency. Last bottle, straight off the plane from the Arizona desert - look what I got waiting for me. Inky purple red in color. Dusty, later white pepper, mustard green, cassis and vanilla notes in nose. Slight matchstick. Slight skin astringency on front of tongue, raspberry water, black currant, mustard green and mint in mouth with cherry fruit leather and fine weight seed tannins on finish. Slightly alcoholic. A bouquet of herbs, veggies, weeds and red fruit in your glass, Washington state all the way. Could drink or age further. I'm pairing crackers and black pepper Boursin with this one, but garlic and herb might be better suited. — 6 years ago

This is the Isenhower 2006 Elerding Vineyard Petit Verdot bottling. Deep and dark, opaque and starting to show some brick tones on the edges. Nose is nice with floral, cedar, nutmeg, and sweet caramel candy. Palate is thick, sweet, and showing black fruits, mocha, leather, and espresso. Nice wine. — 10 years ago

219 cases produced. Light yellow, excellent clarity. Aromas of pineapple and guava. Lemon, pomelo pulp and tropical fruit flavors. Dry, almost syrupy mouthfeel, crisp lemon peel finish. Not quite as elegant as the 2016, but a lot to like here. Turning into one of my two favorite white varietals for wine as I drink more examples of these from Isenhower and, occasionally, others in the Pacific Northwest. More Roussanne please. — 4 years ago

First to rate this wine here, ever - cool! Pale yellow-white in color. Floral, herbal and citrus notes in nose. Floral citrus melon and stone fruit notes in mouth, subdued intensity of flavors but elegant and well integrated. Rounded mouthfeel, good acidity (though short of crispness) and minerality on finish. Cherry flavor with great length with an undertone of Ribena black currant, light seed tannin, moderate skin tannin astringency. Aftertaste of sage and weedy greens, pleasant. Needs some time to open. After 30 minutes, fruit flavors galore. Tannins chewier, so keep decanting. After 60 minutes, tannins have calmed down somewhat so drinkable. After two hours, tannins have softened and cola undertone has emerged. Nice flavors, structure, balance and acidity, bright and lively. New vintage, first tasting, and my first rose of the warm season here in the PNW. Salmon pink with orange tinge. Excellent clarity. Red fruit and white pepper-sage notes in nose. Round mouthfeel. Lemon-citrus, cherry and stone fruit in mouth, some skin astringency, slight soapyness in finish, cherry-citrus and slight black pepper aftertaste. Dry, flavorful, nice varietal character, goes either way, sipping or food. Fruit flavors are delicate, faded after 24 hours so drink up or share — 6 years ago

Medium purple in color. 2014 Wild Thyme is now a Bordeaux red blend, 47% Merlot, 23% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Cabernet Franc, and 9% Petit Verdot. Black current, herb and menthol notes in nose. Rounded mouthfeel, blueberry, blackberry, cherry, cassis and green pepper flavors in mouth with length, seed tannin finish, a bit alcoholic with slight skin tannin puckering in center of tongue. Fruit more prominent with aeration. This may integrate further with additional aging as well as soften the tannins, but it's drinking well now — 6 years ago
